Best-In-Class PTO Torque (Diesel)
With a best-in-class PTO diesel torque of 300 lb.-ft., Super Duty® power takeoff (PTO) offers more torque than any other heavy-duty truck, giving you more power for upfits just when you need it. For added strength, the 10-bolt PTO mounting pattern provides a more secure mount for larger PTO devices to take greater advantage of this increased torque over the previous generation’s six-bolt pattern.
7.3L OHV PFI Gas V8
Design a gas-powered V8 built for strenuous duty, hauling heavy loads day in and day out, with commercial-grade durability, performance and efficiency and you get the available port fuel-injected 7.3L. This pushrod V8 design optimizes low-end torque, and the variable-cam timing helps to optimize high-output power. And for the durability also required, the 7.3L features a cast-iron block with four-bolt and cross-bolted main bearings plus a forged-steel crankshaft. Want the largest, most powerful gas V8, rated at 430 hp and 475 lb.-ft. of torque, in a heavy-duty pickup? This is it.
6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel Engine
The available 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel features a 36,000-psi fuel-injection system, with injectors that can atomize fuel up to eight times per stroke to optimize combustion. It also features stronger block, cylinder heads, connector rods and bearings, plus forged-steel pistons, which means 475 hp and 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque at 1,600 rpm. It produces maximum horsepower at a lower rpm than any other engine at 2,600 rpm. Finally, the engine features a redesigned electric-actuated variable-geometry turbocharger that improves throttle response and efficiency.
6.2L Flex-Fuel Gas V8
The 6.2L flex-fuel gas V8 is the standard engine in F-250 and F-350 models. It’s engineered to deliver peak torque at lower rpm and generates high torque throughout the midrange of the power band. The 6.2L in the F-250 is teamed up with the TorqShift® G 6-speed transmission; in the F-350, it features the 10-speed automatic transmission.
Torqshift® 10-Speed Automatic Transmission
All Super Duty® models (except the 6.2L V8 F-250) now feature a standard TorqShift® 10-speed automatic transmission, engineered to optimize drive ratios and improve shift performance. All Super Duty models allow you to choose from five selectable modes — Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Eco and Deep Sand/Snow. Super Duty models with the available Tremor Off-Road Package have an additional Rock Crawl mode.
Diesel Engine-Exhaust Braking
The 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel incorporates a driver-activated engine-exhaust brake. It restricts the turbocharger’s exhaust flow to generate back pressure and slow the vehicle, providing greater control while traveling downhill, regardless of vehicle load or road grade. Also, because the engine brake helps minimize having to apply pedal pressure, brake fade and lining wear are reduced, lowering the cost of maintenance. Three settings are available: On, Off and Auto. The Auto setting modulates engine braking as needed to help maintain the speed you want based on accelerator and brake pedal use.
Operator-Commanded Regeneration With Active Inhibit (Diesel)
Some operating conditions, such as long idling, don’t generate enough engine heat for the diesel to automatically burn off soot in the diesel particulate filter. That’s where available Operator-Commanded Regeneration with Active Inhibit (diesel only) comes in. When the warning light comes on, pushing the activation button raises the exhaust temperature to burn off the soot, after which the exhaust temperature reverts to normal. The active inhibit feature allows delay of regeneration when the vehicle is sitting over combustible materials, such as dry leaves or grass. Once in a safe place, the driver can manually start the regeneration process. Recommended for commercial applications.

Tailgate Step And Boxlink™
Ford Super Duty® offers features that help make every hard day on the job easier. Available running boards, in regular and extended lengths, assist in getting in and out of the cab, as well as accessing the front of the pickup bed. An optional power-deployable version extends automatically when the door is opened and retracts when closed. And there’s an available integrated tailgate step and available bedside step. The latest generation of the Ford Super Duty® was subjected to more than 20 million miles of testing, under real and simulated conditions, at temperatures from -20 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Auto High-Beam Headlamps
We’ve all been there. Heading into a pitch-black stretch of road and having to turn on the high beams — then forgetting to turn them off again as oncoming traffic approaches. Now, unlit roads, dark peripheries and other low-visibility situations don’t have to catch you off guard. Available Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to further light your path ahead. They even sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically so you don’t have to worry about blinding other drivers, allowing you to keep your focus — and both hands — on the wheel.
Rear View Camera
